We specialise in the supply and fit of liquid screeds and have a range of products that suit virtually any domestic, self build, renovation, commercial, retail or industrial flooring project. Liquid screeds, also called self smoothing screeds, are best for achieving level surface finishes. Liquid screeds can be placed when the buildings are at an advanced stage, are weather tight and internal plastering is finished. Liquid screeds can be used for re-levelling uneven floors, for acoustic solutions placed on proprietary acoustic insulation and for applications over underfloor heating. At Fast Floor Screed we pride ourselves on quality workmanship and use of top quality screed products. Our Alpha Hemi Hydrate Screed is produced using the most technologically advanced Hemi Hydrate compound manufactured in Germany under an ISO 9001 quality system to EN 13454-1 and this provides unique benefits over less advanced compounds such as Synthetic and Thermal Anhydrites. Mixed on site, our screed complies with the performance requirements of EN 13813 and is installed in strict accordance with BS 8204-7.

BS 8204-7 stipulates in paragraph 6.4.3 a minimum thickness of calcium sulphate screeds in domestic floating applications of 35mm. For commercial floating screed applications this is 40mm. When used over underfloor heating paragraph 6.7 stipulates a minimum cover of 25mm.
